![]() It's kind of like that silly bar you have to hold to keep your lawn mower running-because people are too doltish to keep their hands and feet out from under the deck. ¹ - Mandatory TPMS is yet another typical nanny-state knee-jerk reaction to the general public's being too stupid to even look at their tires before driving. I really should monkey with it again just to make certain I didn't miss some other impelling thing it might do. This is the most affordable solution for scanning all Toyotas including those assembled in South Africa (Quantum, Corolla, RunX, Hilux) and special import. The Toyota Techstream diagnostic software offers a full diagnostic system solution for Toyota and Lexus, which can access all control modules. Toyota Techstream Lite Subscription with Mongoose Plus MFC3 interface is the Toyota Diagnostic System. It does allow some minor tweaking, though like chunt5 I do not remember the exact process for any of it (IIRC it was relatively "intuitive"). Fortunately it only cost $17 as since then I have played with it enough to realise it is largely useless and I have not used it or had any overwhelming need or even desire to do so since the day I got it running. FWIW in late January I bought a mini-VCI cable from eBay and managed to get a ripped copy the Techstream v10.30.29 software up and running on an old Asus "netbook" running Win XP.
